K.A.R. 109-3-5.  Advanced emergency medical technician; authorized activities.  

 

 

DESCRIPTION

This regulation further defines the authorized activities of the Advanced EMT.  The changes to this regulation are to incorporate the updated Medication List as adopted by the board.  Changes to the medication list include:
1) Addition of Pulseless Ventricular Tachycardia to the indications for the usage of Amiodarone and Lidocaine.
2) Addition of Ondansetron (Zofran) to the medication list.
3) Combining of Benzodiazepine - Lorazepam, Benzodiazepine - Midazolam, and Benzodiazepine - Valium to a single listing titled "Benzodiazepine".
